CHICKENPASTE
Windsong led his hunting party through the woods, sniffing every corner for a sign of prey. Suddenly, he lifted his head. "Elk," he whispered urgently, a hopeful smile on his face. In fact, a bugle nearby confirmed it to the pack. Windsong dropped into a crouch, stalking forward until the magnificent animal came into few. It was a bull, which would be difficult, but it had an injured ankle and was missing an antler, the wounds of a battle for dominance.
Aaka carefully followed behind, not checking to make sure Hazel was following.
Aetos, coincidentally, was following the same elk, Scarlett and Aden right behind him. He noticed Sapphire and Eli weren't with him, but shook any suspicions off and continued on.
CHLOETHEGREAT
Hazel was getting ready to attack until he raised his head with a worried look, "Somebody's here." He mumbled flicking his ears and sniffing the ground knowingly.
Eli smiled, "Lets go quickly." he said urgently as he sensed someone coming towards them. He ran over the packs den and headed into some of the trees waiting for Crystal. Instead of seeing Crystal, it was a black wolf coming towards him.
Shadow had spotted Eli and was charging for an attack.
CHICKENPASTE
Windsong's ears perked. "You're right," he whispered to his nephew. He looked around, seeing nothing, but just as he was saying, "Just keep alert," and dashed into the hunt, the elk looked up and was instantly ambushed by a rival hunting party. Without thinking, Windsong continued to charge an leaped up onto the elk. For a confused moment, he looked into the eyes of another powerful male, obviously the alpha, who was latched, fangs and claws, to the ungulate's back. What am I doing? thought Windsong, but seeing as Aaka followed he didn't stop.
Just as confused, Aaka ran in to help her alpha, despite the other pack. Disaray swept through the air as she unsurely leaped for the elk's neck. A scarlet (hinthint) flash of a glare shot past her, sending a chill down her spine and letting her lose balance. "Hazel!" she called. "I'm falling! Take my place at its throat!" Just then she tumbled to the ground and scrambled up to run back.
Aetos had attacked the elk and just realized his pack wasn't the only one. His eyes met the gaze of the rival alpha, and for a moment he was mesmorized by his regal, jade coat, feeling slightly intimidated before the elk reared and flipped the other way, dropping him back to the ground. He looked at the swarm of wolves tackling the animal and made out his own children, then three others he didn't know. He rushed to his feet and sped to catch up.
Scarlett didn't seem to even realize it. The yearling simply hopped onto her future kill, as she thought it as, and bit down through the tough neck.
With so many wolves everywhere, Aden couldn't find a place to attack, and couldn't decide whether to attack the elk or the rival pack. Instead, he helped herd the animal
Omitaa seemed helpless among them all, trying to figure out what to do. Torn between decisions she saw the alpha of the rival pack, and with a sudden realization stopped in her tracks to watch. She knew him... but who was it?
CHLOETHEGREAT
Hazel had watched from where he stood until his order was said. Confused, he launched himself at the elk gripping his teeth into its throat as asked and held on with his life.
Eli tumbled forward, biting Shadows neck gripping on tight with his fangs. Unsure about what just happened, he pushed the stranger wolf forward and tried to run back to the pack with Crystal. Sensing that his pack was already here, or some of it he headed towards it to be greeted with a confused pack of wolves.
Shadow chased after the trespasser and stopped dead in his tracks by another wolf, the Alpha of a different pack. He growled at them, moving in.
CHICKENPASTE
Aetos, not noticing the black wolf behind him, leaped back onto the bucking elk and clawed his way to a good grip. "What the hell are you doing?!" he called to the other pack through a mouthful of short, wiry fur.
Aaka ran up next to Aetos and tugged on his leg, eventually yanking him off, and jumped up where he was, biting the throat of the elk and pulling it down. The elk fell to the dust and struggled on the ground, unable to get up. Aaka tackled it and fought against four furious legs, each with a hoof as sharp as a bear's claw.
Aetos yelped as once again he was slammed against the ground. He quickly saw the elk on the ground and grabbed it, tearing into its leathery skin.
Windsong choked in pain as the elk fell on him, but was soon able to escape its weight and began thrashing at its throat, meanwhile watching to protect his prey from the other wolves.
Scarlett let out a yip and reared as the grounded elk kicked at he, but soon she found herself tearing at its throat next to Aaka while snarling viciously.
Aden clawed at its stomach, trying hard to keep it on the ground.
The red glare of the yearling next to Aaka sent the female into shock. I must be seeing things, she thought. Wolves don't have red eyes. Nothing does.
CHLOETHEGREAT
Hazel edged backwards as both packs started [ripping] the elk to shreds. He snarled quietly and started [ripping] into the flank of the elk.
Eli gasped and ran to the pack with Crystal behind him. He headed behind the rest of his siblings and growled at the rival pack that had taken Crystal.
Crystal hid behind Eli, literally frightened to death by the fight.
CHICKENPASTE
The commotion took a sudden halt. The elk had been dead for a while now, but the action had been so intense no one realized it until now. Aaka slowly eased her eyes upwards and instantly met the glare of the yearling with the red eyes. She yowled and fell back, squealing, "E...Ev...Evil thing!"
Scarlett tilted her head, confused. No one ever took so much notice in the color of her eyes. But pleased that she had caused so much fear, she smirked and snarled sarcastically, "Yes. I'm a demon from hell sent to kill you all."
Aaka cowered in utter terror, truly believing her rival's words.
"Quit scaring her!" Windsong snapped. "Who are you wolves, and why did you steal our kill?"
"Your kill? You mean you stole ours!" Aden growled and tugged the body towards himself.
Aetos stepped forward, tail raised in threat. "Look, either you leave the kill here, or we take it. Either way, it's ours."
Windsong snarled, annoyed, and pounced onto Aden, knowing he could defeat the younger yearling.
Protective, the small, pearl omega named Omitaa tackled Windsong, clawing as best she could, knowing she may well die. But it didn't seem to matter; life as an omega had taught her that her only purpose was to serve her alpha. If she died, she'd be respected for once by the pack.
CHLOETHEGREAT
...[Hazel] snarled fiercely at the wolf with the red eyes, angered because she had scared his mum he soon launched himself at her, knocking her onto her back. "I'm not afriad of you." He told Scarlett angrily.
Eli was confused what to do next, he couldnt finish his rescue mission since his pack had to get the food. Decideing what to do, he turned back and growled, making sure Crystal was safe from harm until his brother was attacked. "Stay here." He told Crystal once they neared a bush. He ran to the Alpha of the rival pack and bit into his neck, trying to safe his brother.
Aria made sure her pups were safe, watching Esther as she went back to her brothers. She slowly made her way to the entrance to the den, checking if any wolves were heading to the den to hurt her pups. "Shh now." She told her pups not wanting to draw any attention to them.
Shadow found himself being surprisingly loyal to his brother and helped him fight, trying to save him from Eli's attack on him.
CHICKENPASTE
Scarlett kicked at the hazel wolf, screeching in hope that she would hurt his ears.
Windsong threw the much smaller wolf off of him and slammed it to the ground. Then he turned aggressively to the frail, white wolf that had attempted to attack him. He snarled and prepared to charge it.
With a sudden realization, Omitaa, as she shrunk in fear below the shadow of the rival alpha, trembled as her jaw dropped. "...W-Windsong?"
Aden took the moment to dash away to his brother. He quickly helped him up and blinked his thanks before he was tackled yet by another wolf.
Aaka pounced on the young wolf that had tried to attack Windsong and shook it violently against the ground, thrashing at its throat, even after it stopped moving.
Aden found himself being choked and strangled and gasped for air before it was repeatedly knocked out of him. Panicking, he tried to claw away, but terror paralyzed him and he eventually passed out, both from fear and from lack of oxygen.
CHLOETHEGREAT
Hazel shook his head violently before proceeding to attack the wolf, gripping onto her neck and shaking it angrily.
Eli had all the wind took out of him nodding to his brother until he was tackled by a different wolf. He jumped backwards, shocked by the sudden movement. He ran to Aaka, scratching her back and gripping on to her back.
CHICKENPASTE
Aaka flipped around and shook the young wolf off of her. She viciously slashed at its face, leaving three claw marks on its cheek. She didn't have time to guilt over whether it was permanent or temporary; she snarled and took a dominating stance.
(At the same time, Aria is taking care of her pups in the den. I removed a lot of that because the player of Chanter and Thunder's sister, Esther, is no longer here, and we need to find a replacement.) Chanter didn't care about his sister anymore. He sympathetically laid next to his brother, not bothered by the loner outside, and whispered, "She's such a drama queen." He then sighed and continued, "Oh well. You know how girls are."
Aden was passed out next to a pool of splashed blood.
Scarlett shrieked wildly, a sound so alien to come out of a wolf's mouth. She heartlessly clawed at Hazel, as if he were only a wall she needed to shred through, mercilessly making sure he didn't come close.
Windsong stared in aggression at the white wolf, hiding a hint of confusion. "Who are you?" he asked.
Omitaa trembled into tears, then to her own surprise, in the center of war and hatred, ran up to the powerful white wolf and put her head over his shoulder. Tears raced down her cheek as she hugged him the way a wolf would, nestling her muzzle into his fur. "My brother, I thought you were dead..."
The alpha stood there, stunned, as the warmth of love, fed by a high, rasping whimper, fled through his body. Then he remembered: this wolf was a stranger, a rival's minion. "Get off of me!" He shoved the wolf into the dirt, and, with a last look of awkward sympathy, he ran off to support his pack.
Omitaa laid there, frozen and vulnerable, soiled with mud and tears, unable to believe she'd been rejected so easily. But in her brother's eyes, in the way he spared her so indirectly, she knew he remembered.
CHLOETHEGREAT
Eli whined and moved backwards, his eye above his right cheek throbbing painfully. He shook his head, hoping it would heal but it started to get more painful. Looking to his brother, he gained a little strength and threw himself at the bigger wolf, gripping onto her neck and using his claws against her muzzle, scratching it hoping to deal some damage.
Hazel watched her in a shocked manner. "What even are you?" he exaggerated. Limping slightly, he ran around her quickly and lunged at her back and gripped onto her with his claws digging into her flesh.
...and that's where it stops. :3 I deleted two characters (Aria's daughter, Esther, and a lone trying to attack the pups named Lyra) because of some complications with the player of the two. Esther will be played by someone else.
